4th try was the charm
These were the fourth 4″ x 6″ mylar bags I tested – and the first that didn’t leak. The others leaked at the side seam or at the ziplock seam.These have a clear front, silver back, stand up, and are reclosable. The area to apply a heat seam is wider than many. I finally got a quality bag.

Had hoped they would be better
These bags are nice to look at and showcase the product very well but the seams on the bottom are poorly enforced. I had many simply open and the contents spill out. I am using them for one pound increments of beans and legumes which have no sharp edges so I am not sure why this should happen. I was hesitant to use a bag that is not as ecologically sound as a Kraft paper bag but these look so much nicer and it saddens me to have to throw away those that were not usable. I am planning on needing more packaging and am not sure if I would purchase these again.UPDATE : The company contacted me and promised to send out replacement bags for those that were lost to poorly glued edges it was weeks ago and I have yet to receive them. Maybe they thought would forgot I have not. I am wondering if they will ever arrive…No. They bags have never arrived as promised. They only wrote what they did to look good. There was no follow up from them thereafter.

Great For Small Businesses
I use these bags for my freeze dried candies that I sell everyday. I am constantly making candy and need bags very frequently. I have tried several other brands and this one is the best as far as quality. Easy to open, sturdy and not cheap feeling. The candies look great in them and the Mylar does its job. This is a great brand and great bags if your going to use for short term storage.

Quality Mylar Bags
I purchased these for our cottage business. They have been great for our freeze dried products. They are thick but pliable without being to rigid. The slide lock seal is great for opening and closing the bag as needed. Will definitely purchase again!

Great for FD candy and Vaccume seal great
The packages were great for freeze dried candy bags and for smaller portion items. I vacuum sealed them in my Avid Armor and they did great with holding a seal when rechecked a month later. I can also seal them with my Harvest Right sealer. I have not used the sticker labels that came with them, as I prefer to write on my bags with a permanent Sharpie marker. Fast delivery and item as described by the seller.

Just what you’d expect
This is my first time using mylar bags with the window, so I don’t really have anything to compare to when it comes to bags with a window. They are fine. They do what they need to. I would want something thicker and without a window if I was keeping it for long term food storage, but for small gifts and things they work just like I needed.

I have gone through quite a bit of different Mylar bags. So many disappointed due to small micro tears which let air in and ruined my product. We sell freeze dried candies. These bags are a bit more expensive than I’m use to paying but so WORTH it! So sturdy, easy to open and work with! Love them!

Best thing in my household
This is the favorite organizer in my house now. Life is so much easier n disciplined with Belle KR Mylar bags.I use it to store spices and label them.Children use to store jewelry.It is the most convenient to take anything when I go out. My package went all around the world (approximately 3 days late) box was beat all to pieces and very dirty. Not busted. But FED EX doesn’t seem to care anymore. Below standards for almost a year now.

Left a faint chemical taste on my food.
These work well and are easy to use, but I stored some freeze dried candy and ice cream in them for a few days and when I opened them to try I found that they had a faint chemical taste to them. The same items from the same batch that I had stored in a lock-n-lock container do not have this taste, so it’s definitely the bags.Three stars because they are good bags that will work for the other uses – jewelry, crafts, small object storage, etc, but I would not use them for food.

I like that window is crystal clear. Maybe that’s why the price is higher than similar bags on Amazon. I really like that the corners are rounded as well. I used to buy another bag on Amazon (same dimensions all around with rounded corners) that is 7 dollars cheaper, but I switched to K-belle for the crystal clear windows. I’m going to switch back to the other bag because K-Belle bags don’t block light. This was important for me as a snack vendor at craft fairs because foods can go bad quicker when it’s exposed to sunlight.

Bags Ripped at Seams
I’ve ordered many of these bags, as part of a small freeze dried treats business. This last order contained numerous bags ripped at the top and bottom seams rendering d them useless. Unfortunately, this was a waste of both the bag and my business sticker that I place in the bag. Disappointing.

These bags are perfect for the freeze dried candy I sell. They hold up great in transport and shipping and my products are safe from water and air damage. I have had bags get soaked in rain but the product inside was still dry and crispy. They are easy to open and close and look nice on my tables.

Quality bag

Zip Sealing Strip Separates from Mylar
Zip sealing strip consistently improperly bonded to the reflective mylar layer. Some are weakly bonded at the upper edge, some of the upper edges are not bonded at all. Both lead to the strip more easily separating from mylar layer entirely. Bonds to clear layer are perfect. None of the bags I’ve checked had an adequate bond at the top edge of the zip sealing strip to the reflective mylar layer. This led to multiple strips tearing free and having to be discarded. Most of the time I was able to observe this and discard the bag, but some either tore loose without me noticing or were not bonded to begin with at the lower edge either. This led to product leaking out unexpectedly. Might also lead to spoilage.Bumped review up to 3 stars instead of fewer because seller was very responsive and sent replacement. Unfortunately the second batch was just as bad as the first.For reference, I found these bags to be an ideal size to accommodate 1/4 cup (2 fluid ounce) of powdered baby formula. They could accommodate slightly more, but not a lot. I really wish I could find this size and type of bag from a brand with better quality construction, such as Labphant from which I’ve purchased in the past.
